The Board devoted detailed attention to parking and landscaping rules in the proposed revisions. Members said the four sections (540, 541, 570 and 571) may merit consolidation or clearer cross-references so they read as a coherent group of considerations. The minutes record discussion of a proposed reduction in the parking-space minimum to 9x18 feet and a request that Section 571 include a definition for 'Service Area.' The Board also recommended removing the final sentence in Section 570 relating to abutter waivers and noted contradictions between minimum buffer requirements in Sections 540 and 570.
