Commission approves communications contract; officials promise media plan and reporting

The commission voted to approve a strategic communications contract with Mario Morrow & Associates to provide external strategic communications, executive-level communications development and intergovernmental outreach. Matt Allen, director of communications for the county administration, described the value of institutional continuity and the firm’s ability to address sensitive matters and large initiatives. "Strategic communications incorporates a lot of things for the county... having an entity such as Mario Morrow and Associates who has the continuity of multiple years of the administration ... is very important to the administration," Allen said.
