Wayne County approves Ajax supplemental paving contract after debate over split bids

The Wayne County Commission voted to approve a supplemental paving contract with Ajax that would cover 107 lane miles as part of the county’s goal to complete 300 lane miles of resurfacing this year. Steve Shea, division director of roads maintenance, told commissioners the contract was delayed by procurement discussions but was needed to meet the pavement program target.
