County seeks approval to buy paving equipment for second crew
Wayne County requested approval to buy loaders, rollers, trailers and other equipment to outfit a second paving crew; most items are expected by year-end, with a paver arriving early next year.

Division Director of Equipment Angelia Miller asked the committee to approve cooperative purchases from Macalester Machinery Co. (DBA Michigan Cat) to support a newly onboarded second paving crew. She listed equipment intended to add capacity for paving operations and said most items would arrive by the end of the year so crews will have them for the next season; the paver is expected in the first quarter of the following year.
