The Office of Legislative Auditor General presented a performance audit of Wayne County27s HOME (Home Investment Partnership) program, covering program years 20222D2023. Auditor General Marci Koro told the committee that "We identified 7 issues and 23 recommendations to strengthen the internal control environment within the Home Investment Partnership Program." She said HUD awarded Wayne County approximately $8,800,000 in HOME funding for 20222D2024 and that subrecipients expended about $2,200,000 during 20222D2023.
