The Wayne County Committee on Ways and Means spent substantial time reviewing proposed budget language instructions for the recommended two-year executive budget and appropriations ordinance for fiscal years 2026–2028. Staff presented a package of edits and new reporting requirements and commissioners questioned several changes, ultimately retaining certain reports and deadlines the administration had proposed deleting or moving.
