Commission recommends NDOT easement for Rancho San Rafael multiuse path
Washoe County’s parks commission recommended that the Board of County Commissioners grant NDOT a roughly 10,381-square-foot easement at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park to build and maintain an 8–10 foot multiuse path, with construction bids opening Oct. 15 and work expected in 2027.

On Sept. 23, 2026, the Washoe County Open Space and Regional Parks Commission voted to recommend that the Board of County Commissioners grant the Nevada Department of Transportation an easement at the north end of Rancho San Rafael Regional Park for a multiuse path and related roadway improvements.
