Sweetser adopts county Flood Damage Prevention and Solar Energy ordinances
The council voted to adopt the county Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance and the county Solar Energy Ordinance on July 10, 2025 after motions by Travis LeMaster; both motions passed with the recorded tally showing Matt Moore absent and the other four members voting in favor.

The Area Plan Commission submitted two ordinances for the council's consideration: one updating the Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance and the other updating the Solar Energy Ordinance. Council member Travis LeMaster moved to approve adoption of the county Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance; Warren Dailey seconded. The motion passed with the roll recorded as Matt Moore—Absent; Tyler Wineinger—Aye; Warren Dailey—Aye; Kyle Taylor—Aye; Travis LeMaster—Aye.
