BOCC approves shale contract and hears district road updates
The board approved a shale contract with Vernie Dean Lebeda for FY 26-27, and commissioners reported on ongoing roadwork: D1 hauling gravel and shale and sign maintenance; D2 mowing, grading and preparing CR 1090 for rock; D3 started the Grady Road project at Red Hill Road.

Grant County’s commissioners approved a shale contract with Vernie Dean Lebeda for fiscal year 2026-27 during the Sept. 21 meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The action authorizes hauling and use of shale material under the contract terms recorded in county files.
