During codification review on Aug. 13, councilors recorded that Chapter 35's fire-protection reference should be Mount Vernon (not West Bertram) and noted there is currently no 28E intergovernmental agreement in place for that service.

The City of Bertram council recorded a correction to Chapter 35 during a special codification meeting on Aug. 13, 2026: the code's fire-protection reference should read 'Mount Vernon' rather than 'West Bertram.' The meeting minutes also note "There is currently not a 28E agreement" for that service.
