Commission continues Comprehensive Plan introduction, cites GMA implementation requirement
The Planning Commission continued the Comprehensive Plan introduction and was told the GMA requires the City to retain an implementation strategy; the introduction was continued to the next meeting by unanimous vote.

Chairman Ron Valencia opened the Introduction to the Comprehensive Plan on Sept. 14. Terry Mourning told commissioners they should not delete the implementation section entirely because the "GMA requires the city to have an implementation strategy." Based on that guidance, Commissioner Tom Jarms moved to continue Public Hearing #2026-15 to the next meeting; commissioners approved the continuance unanimously.
