Bid protest filed; county says one bidder nonresponsive while another moves forward
Burke County officials said a protest from Kuhlke Construction is pending on the terminal bid; Amanda Hill of MaesAwyr said Kuhlke's bid contained significant errors and Kenrick submitted required documents to be forwarded to GDOT for contract paperwork.

County Manager Merv Waldrop told the Airport Committee the county received a protest from Kuhlke Construction over the terminal building bid process. Amanda Hill of MaesAwyr said the county considered Kuhlke a nonresponsive bidder because of errors in its bid and that another bidder, Kenrick, had submitted all required documents for GDOT contract paperwork.
