The Walker City Council voted May 11 to solicit proposals for the municipal garbage contract, with the mayor and council noting the current contract remains in place through Nov. 30, 2026. On a motion by Jonathan Wolff seconded by Austin Prose the council authorized an RFP; the motion passed with five ayes.
