After discussing contractor availability and the state inspector’s comments, the selectboard voted to move the covered-bridge request-for-proposals deadline to Sept. 5, 2025. Staff explained the town’s primary bidder is unavailable this year and ‘‘postponing the project for 1 year would give us opportunity to bid this in the course of the next couple of months and get it on the calendar for next spring,’’ a staff member said during the discussion.
