The Maine Board of Optometry reviewed submitted comments and the basis statement for a proposed rule and moved to finalize the rulemaking at its Feb. 27, 2026 meeting. Eric Hebert, O.D., moved to approve the basis statement; Dr. Timothy Rioux seconded the motion. The minutes record the vote as "5 in favor and 0 opposed."
