Commission awards sewer and waterline contracts, approves school construction work

On April 16 the Anderson County commission approved a series of procurement recommendations from the Purchasing Committee for infrastructure and school projects. The minutes record approval of a contract with K. Carrender Construction, Inc. for the Claxton Sewer Project in the amount of $213,730, and a separate contract with the same firm for the New River Waterline in the amount of $230,029. Motions were made by Commissioner Robert McKamey and others and carried by voice vote.
