Fire Chief Matt Hinman presented a Fire Department Cadet Program guideline intended to pair selected fire personnel with 17- and 18-year-old students at Morrill High School. The proposal would allow students to attend meetings, run drills and learn basic firefighting skills; the board placed the item on the September agenda so trustees and legal counsel could review the proposal further.
