The Santa Rosa City School Board voted to approve sufficiency resolutions for instructional materials for 2026–27 for both K–6 and 7–12 on Sept. 23, but the votes were split amid a procedural dispute about notice postings. Alyssa Haley, executive director of educational services, told the board that "we do have all the textbooks and materials now, and they are within the classrooms," and cautioned that failing to complete the required hearing process could risk funding.
