Valley County supervisors uphold valuations across multiple property protests in board of equalization hearing

The Valley County Board of Supervisors entered the board of equalization July 16 and resolved more than two dozen property valuation protests, approving most assessor recommendations, reducing several values and rejecting three protests for incomplete forms. A TERC notice involving Green America Biofuels was also noted.

The Valley County Board of Supervisors met July 16 and entered the Board of Equalization to hear property valuation protests. After hearing representatives and reviewing assessor recommendations the board approved or adjusted valuations on more than two dozen parcels; several were decreased while most were left unchanged. The board exited the hearing at 9:47 p.m. and reconvened out of equalization at 9:50 p.m.
