Council member Bruin asked the council to consider an Adopt‑A‑Street program as a volunteer way to reduce litter, boost civic pride and let public‑works staff focus on other duties. "It's a way to reduce litter, enhance the appearance of our community, and promote some civic pride to have people participate in cleaning up their neighborhoods, their roadways," Bruin said during the work session.
