The Murfreesboro Board of Zoning Appeals on Sept. 23 approved a variance request that will allow a single-family house at 610 West Street to be built with a 25-foot front setback instead of the 35 feet required by the zoning ordinance. Staff said the applicant, Elijah Montgomery of Fernway Construction LLC, replatted lots at the city’s request and lost land in the process, prompting the variance request.
