Archie Council appoints Alderman Houchen as mayor pro tem
The Archie Board of Aldermen unanimously appointed Alderman Mark Houchen as mayor pro tem after a nomination by Mayor Tony Sattee and a motion by Alderman Scott Kendrick. The appointment was accepted by Houchen during the Feb. 10 meeting.

Mayor Tony Sattee nominated Alderman Mark Houchen to serve as mayor pro tem at the Board of Aldermen meeting on Feb. 10, 2026. Alderman Scott Kendrick moved the appointment and Alderman Allan Lough seconded; the motion passed on a unanimous voice vote and Houchen accepted the appointment.
