Council approves multiple smaller fee and license increases
By unanimous consent or recorded motion, the council raised tobacco license fees, electrician and plumbing license fees, and the shelter reservation fee during the July 20 meeting.

At the July 20 special budget meeting the Nebraska City Council approved several additional fee adjustments. The council doubled tobacco license fees (from $10 & $15 to $20 & $30), increased electrician and plumbing license fees to $50 and $15 respectively, and raised the shelter reservation fee from $35 to $40. These items were approved by unanimous consent as recorded in the minutes.
