The Shared Events Committee told the council it had raised $5,000 toward a $30,000 budget for the July 4 festival and requested the town finance the $15,000 fireworks cost. Committee representative (speaker 15) said the group had secured a $1,000 deposit and contracted Berger Hoss Productions for a 20-minute fireworks show, but that a $14,000 balance remained due on the vendor's schedule. "We are requesting that the town of Sheridan finance the $15,000 cost of the fireworks," the committee speaker said.
