Organizer asks Atkinson council for parade no-parking during Hay Days

Bev McConnell appeared before the Atkinson council to discuss plans for Hay Days, which she said will be held Aug. 15–17, 2025. She asked the council to consider no-parking on both sides of the parade route to allow larger parade equipment to maneuver safely. Council members expressed concern about accessibility and agreed further discussion is needed so the change would not discourage attendees who cannot walk long distances.
