On May 5 the council heard a public hearing on rezoning multiple J.L.P. Development parcels from Single Family Residential (R-1) to Highway Commercial (C-1). Councilmember Leo Seger publicly signed a Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission Form C2A and said he would participate as a citizen during the hearing. Applicant Cameron Miller said he plans to sell trailers on lots adjacent to his shop; residents raised concerns about what other businesses would be permitted and the potential effect on lot values.
