Developer Withdraws Rezoning Application; Plans to Reapply After Community Input

During a May 5 public hearing the council considered a proposed rezoning of Holt County Parcel #450053600 (currently Highway Commercial and Single Family Residential) to Transitional Agricultural. City Clerk Shelly Wieneke reported that Kent Olson, representative of COCO Holdings, LLC, withdrew the application by e-mail and phone, stating he plans to address concerns raised by the community and refile at a later date. The mayor closed the hearing at 7:50 p.m. and no council action was taken.
