Custer County auditors issue unmodified opinion on 2025 audit; commissioners accept report

Auditor Sam DeNardo presented the Custer County 2025 audit at a Sept. 29 special meeting and said the firm issued an unmodified opinion — commonly called a "clean" opinion. "We now refer to as an unmodified opinion," DeNardo said as he opened his summary of the report.
