Alyssa, a representative of engineering firm Barton and Lejudice, opened a Sept. 24 public information meeting to summarize three flood‑mitigation studies for the city of Peekskill covering McGregory Brook (Contract A), Peekskill Hollow Creek (Contract B) and the Riverfront area (Contract C). She said the studies use HEC‑RAS modeling with NOAA Atlas 14 rainfall data and a 20% increase applied to model future flow conditions.
