Building department seeks staffing, code updates and digitization funding

Nick Ciceres presented the Building Department's 2027 budget request and department goals, describing staffing (inspector, two assistant inspectors, code-enforcement officer) and a push to digitize property folders and credential the department to improve consistency and lower homeowner insurance through an ISO rating upgrade. "My department is committed to serving the residents, community, and visitors of Peekskill by enhancing quality of life and safeguarding health, safety, and welfare," he said during his overview.
