The Malabar Town Council on Sept. 3 approved Resolution 14‑2026, declaring a special assessment to hard-surface Rivet Lane north of Hall Road for a distance of 1,300 feet. Staff reported the project’s total cost as $25,580.39 and described the assessment calculations: an owner-funded portion originally computed at $15,348.23 (60%) exceeded the petition's “not to exceed” figure, so staff set the assessed total for property owners at $14,569.41, a resulting cost of $11.21 per linear foot.
