During the Washington County Board's Sept. 10, 2026 organizational meeting, commissioners nominated a slate of peers for the Committee on Committees and the clerk recorded individual votes and tallies. Nominations recorded in the minutes include: Kenneth Huffine nominated Jim Wheeler; Daniel Cutshall nominated Josh Edens; Jim Wheeler nominated Freddie Malone; Sarah Laposky nominated Daniel Cutshall; Roger Verran nominated Richard Tucker; Richard Tucker nominated Lori Sukel; and Billy Austin nominated Jodi Jones. A motion by Commissioner Daniel Cutshall to accept the nominations was seconded by Commissioner Jodi Jones.
