City issues RFP after contracted assessor notifies of April termination
The City of Clare reported that its contracted assessor, Michigan Assessing Coalition, Inc. (MAC), will terminate its contract on April 30, 2025 due to staffing constraints; an RFP for a replacement opened with a bid opening scheduled April 1.

City Manager Jeremy Howard told the commission that the city received notice the contracted assessor, Michigan Assessing Coalition, Inc. (MAC), will terminate the contract effective April 30 because of staffing levels and reduced coverage area. "The current contract is for three years. The second year of the contract ends April 30th, and MAC will terminate on that date," the minutes state.
