The Washington County Commissioners approved the appointment of Jan Helm to the Washington County Historical Commission for the remainder of the 2026–27 term. Charlie Douglas, chair of the Historical Commission, introduced several commission members in the audience and recommended the appointment based on Helm’s experience and awards. Commissioner (speaker 6) moved to approve the appointment; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
