County backs Riverton Fire District’s request for grant support to replace 1998 pumper

The commission unanimously approved a letter of support for Riverton Fire Protection District’s application to a state mineral royalty grant to buy a Pierce Enforcer pumper (roughly $1.1 million) under a 55/45 matching request; the vehicle is nearly 30 years old and no longer meets NFPA standards, the district said.
