The Monroe County Public Safety Committee approved Referral 26-0292 to add a "Sheriff's Mounted Unit Horse Barn Restoration" project to the 2026–2031 Capital Improvement Program and to authorize financing for the work. The referral was moved by Legislator Mafuchi and seconded by Legislator Vasquez Simmons; a voice vote carried the motion.
