Board pulls annual-leave policy changes to study impacts and timeline
Board members asked staff to delay or rework proposed amendments to annual leave policies after receiving feedback about insufficient planning time for employees; staff will review fiscal and operational impacts and return recommendations.

During consent and subsequent item discussion, members questioned why two annual leave policy amendments (items 19.05 and 19.06) were pulled. Vice chair (speaker 4) said many employees had planned around existing leave rules and called for more time to ease the transition. Staff (Policy Director Wallace Knight, speaker 2) said the items were pulled so staff could examine impacts and bring back recommendations.
