The board approved a technology budget amendment that reclassifies $422,555 in previously approved funds from equipment into lease-payment categories and adjusts allocations between regular and special education budgets. Director Dr. Duke emphasized that "it's important to note that overall budgeting is not changing. The number of devices is not changing," and said the reclassification aligns district accounting with Tennessee Department of Education and GASB guidance for the second year of a computer lease program.
