Council backs application to move intersection project forward for MPO funding
Council approved a resolution supporting local funding for a proposed Ely Road/Wright Brothers Blvd. intersection improvement estimated at about $3 million, with roughly 80% grant funding possible and a local share split with Linn County.

Council considered a resolution to express local support for funding an intersection improvement at Ely Road and Wright Brothers Boulevard and to submit the project for MPO consideration to move forward in the funding queue. Staff said the project is estimated at approximately $3,000,000 and would include realignment of trails and safety improvements for pedestrian crossings.
