Commissioner places antitrust litigation resolution on Oct. 5 agenda

Commissioner Hughes placed a resolution on the Oct. 5 voting agenda authorizing the Bradley County mayor to enter into an employment and contingency agreement to join other local governments in litigation alleging antitrust violations in the fire apparatus market; the county attorney is scheduled to attend Oct. 5 to address legal questions.

Commissioner Hughes told the work session he placed a resolution on the Oct. 5 voting session agenda that would authorize the Bradley County mayor to enter an employment and contingency agreement to join other local governments in litigation over alleged antitrust violations in the fire apparatus market. "I placed this resolution on the 10/05/2026 voting session agenda," he said, and added he would defer questions to the county attorney, who will be present at the Oct. 5 meeting.
