During divisional updates the board revisited legal constraints around accessing Rochester Police Department databases. One board member reminded the group that "the charter ' says that we should have access to everything, or all data that's in the RPD databases," while staff and counsel described corporation counsel's view that access must be read alongside court precedent and cannot allow unrestricted "fishing."
