Quality department overhauled; board to review QAPI plan in June
Board heard that the hospital outsourced quality functions after a Joint Commission review; an annual QAPI plan will be brought to the board in June as the hospital rebuilds quality infrastructure and fills interim leadership roles.

Dr. Elders told the board the hospital transferred duties of the quality department on May 1 to an external provider after a Joint Commission Resource Team review, and several full‑time quality staff left the organization as a result. "On May 1, the quality department's duties were transferred with assistance from an external provider," he said, and the hospital has named interim leaders and scheduled Phase 2 of the resource project following the arrival of a new senior director of quality.
