A patrol supervisor updated the board on hiring and training in operations. The supervisor said deputy candidate interviews took place Sept. 15, that one deputy is in final phases of training, and that a communications-center trainee (Sadie Cole) is midway through training with other candidates being backgrounded and tested from Sept. 10 interviews.
