Council presses for Milwaukee-specific Housing First data as it develops youth-root-cause policy

At the meeting, council members returned to three youth-root-cause topics produced during a July engagement: housing and responses for unhoused youth, safer and better-maintained urban green spaces, and gaps in youth mental-health services. Marcus Hogan (speaker 3), a departing health-department designee, said he reviewed the youth videos and asked for Milwaukee-specific Housing First data. "I know that they mentioned the housing person model that Milwaukee County does implement. And I was wondering, there wasn't any City of Milwaukee specific data," he said, urging more granular information on where Housing First is working within city boundaries.
