Town extends landfill operator RFP to July 15 and outlines evaluation process
The Town of Taos extended the proposal deadline for RFP 242506 to July 15 after numerous bidder questions. Staff described a planned internal evaluation committee and said finalist recommendations will be brought to the regional landfill board for final approval.

Interim procurement officer Lisa Baca Medina briefed the board on RFP 242506 for landfill management services. The RFP was published May 28 and the pre-proposal site visit on June 11 drew several entities. Medina said staff received substantial bidder questions and ‘‘decided to push back the proposal due date to July 15th’’ to give vendors time to respond fully and prepare accurate proposals.
