Quimper Parks & Trees Foundation reports tree nursery, bench program and October fundraiser
The Quimper Parks & Trees Foundation told the board it has built a community tree nursery at Sather Park, purchased 20 trees for planting, placed benches with medallions at several sites in partnership with city staff and Jefferson Land Trust, and will hold a fundraiser Oct. 4 at Old Fort Townsend Barn featuring Linda Mapes.

A representative of the Quimper Parks & Trees Foundation (QPTF) described the nonprofit’s first 18 months of activity and partnerships with city staff and other local groups. The foundation said it built a small community tree nursery at Sather Park, purchased 20 trees from Urban Forest Nursery to be planted with city coordination, and secured permits for tree plantings near City Hall and uptown rights‑of‑way.
