Houston County continues Spay and Neuter program, limits vouchers to 30 days
The county renewed its Spay and Neuter Program for FY2027 and set voucher expiration at 30 days from issuance so replacement vouchers can be issued to other citizens; motion passed 5–0.

County Auditor Melissa Jeter gave a history of the program dating to 2021 and noted prior confusion over voucher validity; the court moved to continue the Spay and Neuter Program for FY2027 and to set voucher expiration at 30 days from issuance. Commissioner Gene Stokes made the motion, Commissioner Jimmy Henderson seconded, and the motion carried 5–0.
