The Selectboard discussed applying for a VTrans Small Scale Local Highway Safety Grant, a program that can provide up to $50,000 with no local match requirement to support projects such as blind striping, sign work, replacing noncompliant guardrails, and removing trees or large roadside objects. The board discussed concentrating Pomfret’s application on tree removal in the area around Rudge Road to improve sight lines and safety.
