Alan Graham presented preliminary plans for a timber veterans memorial to be sited between the Brick Building and the Town Office and proposed incorporating the historic bell that currently sits above the choir loft in Town Hall. The Pomfret Historical Society committed $10,000 toward an estimated $20,000 cost to cover the timber frame and upkeep. Graham asked for permission to develop a site plan and to begin fundraising; the Selectboard agreed to proceed with concept development.
