Amy Zaruba of Boone County Ambulance and four ambulance staff — including Caleb Poore, Sarah Robinson and Kristie Stricklin — presented concerns about recruiting and retaining personnel and proposed considering the hospital wage differential or changing the county resolution to match the hospital wage scale. Commissioner Matt Niewohner moved to postpone a final decision and bring the matter back at the Aug. 26, 2026 meeting; the motion carried unanimously.
